Community Content Program

The Lewd Dungeon Adventures Community Content Program allows creators to publish content for Lewd Dungeon Adventures, either for free or for profit. At present, all content must be submitted to us and processed through our system. Content is published on DriveThruRPG in digital format only.

Please read the entire FAQ. This serves as our third-party licensing agreement.

Q: What materials can I create for Lewd Dungeon Adventures?
A: We accept the following materials:

  • Adventures and campaign books
  • Translations of current campaign books
  • Compendiums
  • Game mechanics and rule supplements
  • Player aids and GM resources, including character sheets and reference card decks

We do not accept:

The goal is to allow creators to enhance and expand the tabletop role-playing game itself while protecting the intellectual property and branding of Lewd Dungeon Adventures and Ovid Games LLC across other forms of artistic expression.

Q: What is the royalty rate for Community Content?
A: You may choose to make your product FREE, Pay What You Want, or earn a 50% royalty.

The pricing for campaign books and supplements is as follows:

1–5 pages = $0.99
6–17 pages = $2.99
18–49 pages = $4.99
50–99 pages = $9.99
100–149 pages = $14.99
150–199 pages = $19.99
200–249 pages = $24.99
250+ pages = $29.99

Pay What You Want pricing allows the customer to decide how much they pay for your product. Please note that this includes the possibility of them choosing to get your product for free, which most customers will do if given the option.

Q: How and when will I get paid?
A: Payments are currently made through PayPal. You will need a PayPal account to receive payments. Payments are issued monthly, between the 1st and 5th of each month, for the previous month's sales. We do not send out 1099s. That means you will be responsible for handling your own taxes.

You must also have an account at DriveThruRPG, as we plan to implement direct payments through DriveThruRPG once our Community Content account is verified.

Content Creation Guidelines

Q: Can I use content and artwork from previously published Lewd Dungeon Adventures campaigns and modules?
A: Yes. Any content from official Lewd Dungeon Adventures campaign books and modules may be used.

Q: Can I use AI artwork in my modules or campaign books?
A: Yes.

Q: How do I make maps for my modules or campaign books?
A: Maps do not need to be as artistic or complex as the ones in official Lewd Dungeon Adventures material. There are plenty of programs available for map creation, including:

Q: Must my content look exactly like official Lewd Dungeon Adventures content?
A: No. You may design the content however you prefer, though you are welcome to mimic the official style.

Q: What should I name my creation?
A: Use one of these formats:

  • [Product Name: Lewd Dungeon Adventures Community Content]
  • [Product Name: LDA Community Content]

Q: Can I create cards for Lewd Dungeon Adventures: The Card Game?
A: Yes. We accept PDF card deck submissions.

Submission and Publishing Process

Q: How do I submit my content?
A: Email your submission to submissions@lewddungeonadventures.com with the subject: Lewd Community Content Submission.

Submissions should be in PDF format and include a cover file in PNG or JPG format. Cover images should be 736 pixels to 953 pixels wide and in 8.5 x 11 or A4 portrait aspect ratio. Including player map and handout files is not necessary. However, if there are maps in your module or campaign book, you can pretty much expect customers to reach out requesting a printable player map. You have been warned.

Use the following template in the body of your email:

Submission Title:
Submission Type: (is this a module, supplement, character sheet, cards, ect.)
Author Name:
Artist(s): (if applicable)
PayPal Email Address:
DriveThruRPG Email Address:

Was AI used in this product? (Yes/No)

Sales Description: (This is what will get customers to download/buy your content. If you are submitting a module or campaign book, we recommend including any required props in the description.)
Have you read and agree to Lewd Dungeon Adventures/Ovid Games LLC’s Third-Party Licensing Agreement? (Yes/No)

Q: How are my titles advertised?
A: You are largely responsible for promoting your titles. Once we publish your title, we will:

  • Email the customer base of our main DriveThruRPG and Community Content accounts.
  • Post about your title on our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).

Beyond this, it is up to you to promote your content. Note that we only promote Community Content submitted in English.

Recommendation: Build your own mailing list and include a link to it in your PDF. This allows you to directly contact customers who enjoy your work and notify them of future releases.

Q: How thoroughly is submitted work checked? What are the odds of rejection?
A: The aim of our Community Content program is to do as little policing as possible. Community Content is not checked for editing, consistency, or political correctness. With that said, as the creator, you are held legally liable for any content you submit.

Content submitted through the Community Content program shares a collective review rating. This means that the rating your work receives contributes to the overall rating of all Community Content. If someone regularly submits content that receives low ratings (1 or 2 stars), we may discontinue our partnership with them and remove their titles from the program. Therefore, you should ensure that the content you submit has been thoroughly playtested and is fully ready for publication.

Q: What if I want my content removed?
A: Submit a written request, and we will remove your content from DriveThruRPG within 30 days. Royalties will continue to accrue until the removal is complete.

Legal and Licensing

Q: What text needs to be included in my content to be legally compliant?
A: You must include the following disclaimer in your publication:

"[Product Name] is an independent product published under the Lewd Dungeon Adventures Third-Party License and is not legally affiliated with Lewd Dungeon Adventures or Ovid Games LLC. Lewd Dungeon Adventures and Ovid Games LLC take no responsibility for any legal claims against this product and will not be liable for any losses, costs, expenses, or damages arising out of this license or use of the licensed material.
For questions or comments related to [Product Name], please email the creator at [your email address]."

Replace [Product Name] with your product’s title.

Q: Can other people use materials I publish under the Lewd Dungeon Adventures license?
A: Only if you allow it. The license does not require you to share your material. If we want to make your content official, we will contact you with an offer.

Please note that Lewd Dungeon Adventures is a very simple system, and with multiple people creating monsters, spells, and items, there’s a high chance some of them will be similar. However, if you see content that matches your own word for word or has stats matching exactly something you created, feel free to reach out to that creator to resolve the issue. The best way to resolve the issue of someone else using your content is to have them update the PDF of their content with a reference credit to your work.

Q: Can I make VTT modules or GM helper tools with official content?
A: This falls outside this license’s scope. However, feel free to contact us with your ideas.

Q: Am I required to use a logo?
A: You may use the LDA Community Content logo, though it’s not required. You are permitted to use the term Lewd Dungeon Adventures to indicate compatibility, such as by stating, “This game is compatible with Lewd Dungeon Adventures” or a similar phrase. However, you may not use the main Lewd Dungeon Adventures logo (the one with the full name spelled out) on anything other than character sheets. Additionally, you must not imply that your publication is an official Lewd Dungeon Adventures product.

You can download the LDA Community Content logo here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bmOrW5aaBmB5RP4hZkYUUpn3xi3gTZOp/view?usp=sharing

Miscellaneous

Q: Can I publish the content I submit for Lewd Dungeon Adventures elsewhere?
A: No. All content must remain exclusive to the DriveThruRPG platform. However, you may personally distribute the same content for free.

Q: My question isn’t listed here. What should I do?
A: Contact us at submissions@lewddungeonadventures.com. We’re happy to help.
